I haven’t been adding much to the gallery here since my workload has increased with all the work going on at ebandlive. Which by the way, is launching next week! Go here if you’re interested. Next month my artwork will be showing at the Dunn Bros. on University Ave and 6th; just a mere two blocks from my apartment. Nice. If you’re in the ‘hood, stop by.

Hey everybody, I know this doesn’t really have much to do with Metrofader or artwork…but….I’m just letting you all know that my band’s full EP is now available for download on Napster. So you can either search for “Silver Streak” or “Bombs Over Minneapolis” to find the record. Otherwise you can attempt to click on the little thinger below and see if it plays for you. Have fun!
Listen to this album on Napster:
Bombs Over Minneapolis by Silver Streak
I’m knee deep in the design of the Western Fifth album artwork. Turns out it’s going to be printed via 4-panel Digipak packaging. And as a nice little touch, they asked me to go nuts and put together an 11×17 full-color poster artwork piece that will be distributed along with the record. What a cool touch for those looking forward to purchasing the physical CD as opposed to downloading the music via iTunes. Plus, I get to go one step further with the dark, brooding theme we’ve got going with the artwork. Neat.
What was cool about the record is that I got to use some of my unused stock photography for the photomanipulated cover. Along with using several old and new photos of mine, I also got the chance to design the new logo. They were looking for a “flourish” detailed style logo. I wanted to add a “Western” feel, since they are sort of an alt Country band, and I think I pulled it off with the decorative type. It looks good and I think the band is happy with it. That’s all that matters, so…..yeah.
Anyway, so here’s a sneak peek at the artwork cover. The band seems to dig it and so should you. You can click on the image to see a bigger version.
